SAINT-ETIENNE YEANZI
“My role as an artist is to be a mirror of society. If you like, I am a kind of repository of culture and collective memory, a collective conscience.”
Lanin Saint-Étienne Yeanzi (1988, born in Katiola, Côte d’Ivoire) is a contemporary artist living between Côte d’Ivoire and France. His art addresses identity and cultural heritage. Since 2013, he has been working with recycled plastic, which he applies to various surfaces to create anonymous human figures. This technique questions traditional portraiture. Yeanzi’s work includes three series: Persona, Projection and Colloquium. He combines different materials to contrast Africa’s cultural richness and modern societies and criticizes the throwaway society.

BOBO WALLMANSSON
Bobo Wallmansson Born 1988, is a Swedish artist who lives and work in Borås (Sweden).
Nowadays it has been understood that man is an animal, let alone some exceptionally well-developed characteristics. These include consciousness, cognitive ability and language. However, these properties are also found in other animals, though less well developed.
My great fascination for chimpanzees is based on our similarities and our way of seeing ourselves in them, because as soon as you put a chimpanzee in a human-encoded environment, you stop seeing them as animals and instead start focusing on what we have in common.

Maiken Lindhardt
Maiken Lindhardt’s paintings explore womanhood and humanity. Her stylized female figures, which dominate entire canvases, show ambivalent emotions. The bold colors and patterns convey strength and self-confidence, while elements such as masks suggest insecurity and fragility. One painting, “Lyseslukker,” symbolizes the loss of dreams and optimism. Lindhardt addresses inner and outer conflicts, with her works always signaling hope and freedom, often through the motif of a free bird. Lindhardt’s paintings are powerful and confident, which underlines her high artistic quality.

Kalle Hellzen
“I’ve often felt like an outsider looking in, trying to fit in, yet often feeling slightly misfit. This sentiment, this duality of being present yet distanced, saturates my art.”
The Dutch artist Kalle Hellzen has a congenital color blindness, which gives him a very unique view of the world and the experiences in it. He expresses this in his fascinating art. His perception of colors and the need for contrasts and uniqueness in what he sees as a “colorless” world make his art something very special.
